Originally from Ciudad Obregón, Sonora. She is a Biotechnological Engineer, graduated from the Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora (ITSON), where she also completed a Degree on Master of Science in Natural Resources to later obtain a Doctorate Degree in Biotechnology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana – Iztapalapa (UAM)-I.

She is currently a member of the National System of Researchers and has been part of several research and development projects related to enzymes, biopolymers, oligosaccharides, among others.
